Practice 3: Unbiased in the Emotionally-Inclusive Practices Framework includes educating ourselves about unconscious biases, exploring what unconscious biases we might hold, evaluating how those biases might impact the greater community, and executing on strategies that reduce the negative impact of biases.

Those priorities include educating ourselves about our own culture and the culture of others, exploring the impact culture has on the learning environment, evaluating the intersection, commonalities, and differences of cultures in our community, and execute on strategies that allow for cultural equity, inclusion, and belonging in our learning environment.

These four priorities includes educating ourselves about trauma, exploring the impact trauma has on those who experience it, evaluating how a lack of trauma sensitivity might negatively impact the learning environment, and executing on strategies that allow a trauma sensitive environment to be created for those who need it.
